| Now apply the
prepared tint to a sample piece of masonry and allow to dry. You can
also use a heat gun if you wish, but ensure you do not scorch the
surface. If your test patch is too dark you can dilute your tint solution… |
||

![]() |
| Simply transfer the tint solution to a suitably sized container, measure out 500mls clean water and add this to the tint solution. | ||

![]() |
| Add the contents of a Fixing Agent Pot (C), stir thoroughly and test again. | ||
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
| If the test patch is still too dark, then you can add a further 500mls of water... | ||
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
| …then add the contents of the third pot of Fixing Agent and test again. | ||
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
| You can then try the tint on a
larger sample, or if you feel confident then start tinting your masonry. If you do not feel confident enough to start on your brickwork or masonry then try practicing using just clean water, this will give you a good ‘feel’ for how the tint will perform. However, remember to let these areas fully dry out prior to carrying out any tinting work. |
